a state-of-the-art Carbon-14 dating laboratory
Fast growing since 2017, we have chosen to invest in our future. We have therefore doubled the quapacity of our materials laboratory, and inaugurated a state of the art radiocarbon laboratory in 2017. Our full capacity has doubled in 2022 and tripled from 2023.

Since its creation, CIRAM has been located near the best laboratories of the University of Bordeaux, in order to enrich its potential and skills.
In addition to strong investment in state-of-the-art equipment, CIRAM regularly expands its team by recruiting specialists in dating and material analysis.
